FASHION MODELS

AModelSeries Global Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization which provides a FREE mentorship program designed to support aspiring and experienced models ages 18+.

We provide personal guidance, elevated business education, strategic professional development, and industry insights to help models grow as empowered entrepreneurs behind the camera.

According to the nonprofit organization Model Alliance, “Over 60% of fashion models begin their careers before the age of 16, yet nearly half report experiencing exploitation, pressure to lose weight, or inadequate labor protections.” This statistic underscores both the vulnerability of young models entering the fashion industry and the systemic challenges they continue to face.

For AModelSeries Global Foundation, this is a call to action—and the core reason our nonprofit organization exists. We are here to empower, elevate, and inform, while redefining what it means to model with dignity, intelligence, and longevity in today’s industry.

GUIDELINES

We believe this shared journey will be a meaningful step toward fostering greater equity in the workplace. To ensure a respectful and productive experience for all involved, we kindly ask that you follow the guidelines outlined below. Please remember that this is a professional relationship, and as such, personal matters should not be discussed—mentors are here to support your professional growth, not to serve in a therapeutic role.

  • Mentors are encouraged to be engaged, supportive, and empowering. By offering their insight, experience, and thoughtful guidance—including constructive feedback—they play a vital role in helping mentees grow and progress in their professional journeys
  • Mentees are encouraged to approach this experience with humility, discipline, and gratitude. Valuing their mentor’s time and thoughtfully considering their guidance are essential. At the heart of a successful mentor-mentee relationship lie mutual respect, trust, and open communication
  • Mentees are encouraged to come prepared with thoughtful questions for each session to make the most of their time with their mentor.
  • Mentors are here to guide, not to open doors—at least not by obligation. While introductions, recommendations, or job referrals may occasionally happen, such gestures are purely at the mentor’s discretion and should never be expected or requested by the mentee.
  • While this relationship is built on openness and trust, it remains a professional one. Mentees are encouraged to focus on their career journey—after all, mentors are here to offer guidance, not therapy.
  • If mentees invite their mentors to review something outside of a session—be it a sample to read, watch, or listen to—please note that this time counts toward the monthly hour.
  • Mentors should schedule the meetings and send calendar invites.
  • Meetings will take place virtually—unless, of course, your mentor proposes otherwise.
  • Mentees are welcome to share their projects as part of the conversation—but must not pitch them to their mentors.
  • Mentees understand that, due to unforeseen circumstances, mentors may occasionally be unable to meet the full 6-hour commitment. When possible, they’ll make every effort to reschedule and make up the time, schedule permitting.
  • If a mentor hasn’t heard from their mentee in two months, we’ll take it as a sign that the mentee may no longer be able to participate, but if anything comes up, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at admin@amodelseries.com
